Every man needs a plaid shirt and then the man must outgrow it.. so we can wear it! I wasn’t joking when I stressed the “be creative” line in my previous posts! Dads, moms, brothers, sisters; All of their closets work for a fun outfit. Of course, only if they let you or if it no longer fits them.
Mom cleaned out her and dad’s closet and that’s when I took a dive to see what I could work with. This XL plaid shirt worked perfectly as a plaid dress. I just pinched the waist with a cognac western belt and matching over-the-knee booties. Pieces like this one are what makes fashion and your personal style so fun and original. Not only will I be relieved of not finding someone with my exact outfit, but I get to carry my dad with me through out the day; Double bonus! :)
Don’t think you have the fashion brain to pull something like this together? Go online and get some inspiration, search what’s trending this year and then visit your loved ones wardrobe. Anything loose fitting can work as a shift dress or can be paired with some leggings. Anything denim is a green light and anything sparkly like crushed velvet or sequins will work too!
